Open February 23-
December 15, 2017

For 150 years, Cedar Falls Fire Rescue has protected our lives and homes. Armed with only buckets and a few ladders in the early years, the department evolved and updated continually to reach its present level of professionalism. Join us to celebrate the sesquicentennial of the founding of the Cedar Falls Fire Rescue.

Explore the department’s history, see historic Cedar Falls fires, watch a video about a local rescue, handle firefighting equipment, and learn about fire prevention and safety. Our special kids corner gives little ones the chance to dress as firefighters, climb on our fire station loft, read books, and play with puzzles and toys.

Mark your calendar for upcoming programs related to this exhibition!

The exhibition and program series have been made possible by a grant from Wal-Mart, Cedar Falls.

A special thanks to Benton Building Center for donating supplies for our kids corner fire station loft.
